What does a strawberry look like?

Strawberries - a very popular berry, famous for its taste. Understand where it really is, and where the strawberry, the uninitiated person is difficult. That's why you need to know exactly what a strawberry looks like, and how else it differs from strawberry.

Both species belong to the genus of strawberry, which, in turn, is an integral part of the family of pink plants. Therefore, between them there is a significant external similarity, but there are also differences that allow us to pinpoint exactly what grew on the bed. So, ripe strawberry berries are painted in scarlet color. In strawberry fruits, the tonality can be more varied - there are red and dark brown, and berries that are intermediate in color.

The difference is found when looking at the bush that bore fruit. So, strawberry plants are formed by several stems in the middle, and outside you can only find leaves. In strawberry, the height is greater — not 200–250 mm, but 250–320 mm. The exact figure depends on the variety. In the middle part are placed "antennae" - a special kind of stems that helps the plant to multiply. But the differences in the type of bush can be checked and clarified, if we examine in detail the fruits of these plants.

Strawberries are mostly large. The length reaches 20–70 mm, and the strawberry 20 mm will already have a limit. If you cut the berry, the inner white parts of the strawberry fruit will be found. The bones plentifully dot the outer side of the two berries equally, but inside the strawberry fruit there is a thick red area. The difference does not end there.

Strawberry peculiar:

• arrangement of peduncles over the leaves;
• no downward tilting of berries;
• musky shade in the aroma of leaves;
• their corrugated surface (sometimes of a light green shade) and the big size.

Strawberries are characterized by such indicators:

• leaf geometry is much more diverse;
• their perimeter seems jagged;
• typical colors are thick green;
• fluffiness is observed at the bottom of the leaves;
• the flavor is consistently uniform.

The berries of this plant for the most part have the shape of an oval. There is a narrowing of the area near the top in comparison with the base. Strawberries growing in the garden mainly bear large fruits, but in the wild they have small and medium size. The red tonality of the berries when introduced into the culture is preserved. A well-developed strawberry fruit is large, with fleshy, sated with vegetable juices.

This pulp contains a lot of small seeds of slightly yellow or slightly brown color. The kernels are raised slightly above the surface, so that the appearance of the fruit is unusually beautiful. Visiting coniferous forests growing in the middle lane in dry areas, you can find the so-called muscat strawberries. Its berries are closer to the oblong shape, and their name received for a specific aroma. In this case, the red color is preserved.

There is one more variety, which received the name of "half-houses". For her typical pink berries, like a ball. Fruits can create a variety of sensations, from sour to sweet taste. The composition is homogeneous, which means that the berries give the same benefit to the body.

Flowers of the main part of strawberry species are painted white and have many stamens. However, a yellowish flower can be caught. The flowering phase covers May and June. Berries "climb" deep in the foliage, which complicates their collection. Strawberries always have a root complex. The roots do not penetrate into the ground deeper than 200-250 mm.
