Apple Stroyev: a description of the variety and agricultural technology

In the warm season, we do not experience an acute shortage of nutrients and vitamins due to the fact that fresh vegetables and fruits are available to us in fresh form. With the onset of winter cold, the need for such products increases dramatically. Gardeners who grow in the Stroyevskoye apple garden have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits even in the last winter month. Winter variety has a number of unique properties.

One of the features is the resistance of the scab species to the expense of the Vf gene.

History reference

The variety was bred by a team of Russian specialists. These were representatives of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for Breeding Fruit Crops. The documentation noted that scientists have worked long and hard to achieve the necessary goal. The appearance of this variety dates back to 1982. The first fruits were received only in 1991.

View "Stroyevskoe" was recognized at the official level after 4 years, due to high-quality fruits and a number of positive properties. Since then, a variety of apple trees began to spread actively throughout the country. A tree was added to the State Register in 2001. Two years before, the apple tree was presented at a large exhibition, where it was deservedly awarded.

a brief description of

After planting, the first apples can be obtained in 4-5 years with proper care. However, many gardeners say that the crop appears mostly in 6-7 years. Up to 60 kilograms of fruits are harvested from one adult apple tree. This indicator indicates a high yield of the species. As for trees whose age is from 8 to 11 years, here the yield indicator is as follows: 117 centners per hectare. Compared with the popular variety “Antonovka” this is of great importance, since from the latter one collects 67 centners per hectare.

Pros and cons of the form

Each fruit crop has individual positive and negative qualities. In order to fully appreciate the variety, it is necessary to weigh both sides.

The advantages are as follows.

  • Fruits varieties "Stroyevskoe" have high taste. Also note the excellent presentation of apples.
  • Excellent and stable yield with easy and understandable care.
  • This is a frost-resistant species that feels great in a harsh climate. The plant is able to survive frosts up to 40 degrees Celsius below zero. Due to this characteristic, the apple tree can be cultivated in the northern regions of Russia with cold and long winters.
  • Apples have a strong and stable immune system, thanks to which they are not afraid of disease, viruses and attacks from pests.
  • Fruits retain beauty and gastronomic qualities throughout their long shelf life.

The main disadvantage of this type is the lack of the ability to pollinate independently. To get a crop, it is necessary to plant at least two more trees of other varieties in a small area. The apple tree of the above variety is not early ripe, therefore it is necessary to wait a lot to get the first crop.

Agrotechnology

The apple trees Stroyevskoe grow remarkably and bear fruit on the territory of the Moscow Region in central Russia. Young trees of the above varieties are especially actively growing in the first few years. There is also a high survival rate. However, even with these characteristics, the plant needs special care.

Landing

For planting fruit crops it is recommended to choose areas with fertile soil. The best option is black soil. Land with a high content of alkali or acids will not work. Also give preference to lighted areas. Shadow negatively affects the process of tree development and the abundance of the crop.

Before planting the land must be fed. This is done about a week before planting, so that the soil has time to absorb all the beneficial trace elements and nutrients. Experts recommend not to use fresh manure as a fertilizer.

It is better to use the following recipe and prepare an effective top dressing from such elements:

  • one and a half kilograms of superphosphate;
  • 2.5 kilograms of phosphorus flour;
  • 150 grams of potassium sulfide;
  • a kilo of ash;
  • humus - 4 buckets.

The resulting composition in these proportions is spent on one tree.

Feeding

The first time the trees are fertilized one year after planting. This is done in the first month of spring. Many people use proven organic - liquid manure. To prepare the mixture, it is enough to mix water with the main element and leave to ferment for 6 days. After that, the soil around the tree is loosened and watered. The second time fertilizers are applied at the end of spring, in May. Now you need to use humus. For feeding you should prepare 5 product buckets. You can also use the following mixture: 40 grams of nitroammofoski and ammonium nitrate mixed with 0.5 kilograms of urea.

As soon as the tree began to bloom, it was time for the third dressing. Nutrients are needed to stimulate the growing season. The following fertilizer can be prepared independently: 10 liters of pure water, half a bucket of liquid manure and 100 grams of superphosphate. The resulting mixture is cultivated around the tree. If necessary, you can replace the manure with urea (300 grams). The fourth dressing is carried out using a solution of liquid manure. The cooking process is listed above. The last time fertilizers are introduced to make trees easier to survive the cold season. Trees are watered and 50 grams of double superphosphate is added.

Watering

Young apple trees need careful watering, like many fruit crops.At one seedling spend at least 2 liters of water. From year to year, the frequency of watering must be cut, however, this increases the volume. The process of updating the crown should be carried out in the fall or in the middle of spring. Get rid of unnecessary shoots. Broken and damaged branches are cut off with the onset of autumn.

To get a rich harvest of tasty fruits, shoots are shortened by a third, and part of the crown is simply removed.

Disease prevention

This culture has a high resistance to various diseases that are often attacked by fruit trees. Despite this characteristic, you can not completely abandon prevention. Protective treatment will additionally protect the trees.

Treat apples with scab is not required. The plant will cope remarkably well with this ailment without help.

In the shops for gardening presents a huge selection of products with which you can strengthen the immune system of the plant. Preparations will provide additional protection without spoiling the crop. Experts recommend using a minimum of funds. Due to the fact that the apple tree does not need careful treatment with the help of chemical means, the crop is obtained as natural and useful as possible.

Harvesting and Storage

The harvest is ripening around mid-September, but this figure strongly depends on the climatic conditions in the region. The terms can be shifted or, conversely, shortened. In the process of collecting fruits, be careful not to damage the skin. These fruits are stored less. Due to the juicy pulp through the damaged shell juice will begin to stand out. Keep the crop is recommended in a cool place. This will prolong the shelf life of fruit. Apples are placed in closed boxes. The fruits are eaten both in dried and fresh form. Also from a grade of "Stroyevskoye" tasty jam and jam turns out.

Reviews

Most of the responses related to the above variety are positive. In the laudatory reviews, gardeners noted the following characteristics: excellent taste of the fruit, simple and clear agricultural techniques, strong immunity and frost resistance of the variety. Despite such a high estimate, there are those who still make a choice in favor of sweeter varieties of apples, without a sour taste.
