Autumn pruning is needed more for sanitary purposes (painful and dry branches must be cut and burned without hesitation), aesthetics of appearance (second size, thinning of the tree crown) are in second place. Autumn pruning is a very important procedure.

The usual autumn pruning scheme involves several steps.

Cut off all, without exception, large branches that hinder the growth of young branches. Always control the amount. Remote branches should not be more newly growing, it improves rejuvenation without loss of yield. It is necessary to cut off all the branches that grow at acute angles.
