 How to apply Strobi fungicide for grapes?

Fungicide "Strobe" - a special semi-synthetic drug, which contains natural toxic substances.Thanks to their action, the viability of fungal microorganisms parasitizing on grapes, fruit trees, vegetables and berries is disturbed. The successful and safe use of this tool depends on how accurately the instruction is executed.

Drug description

Strobilurins are toxins with a unique, broad spectrum of action, capable of suppressing the vital activity of four species of fungi, moreover, they do not allow the formation of secondary spores. On their basis (in particular, on the basis of betametoxyacrylic acid, derived from fungal organisms), the main working substance, kresoxim-methyl, was manufactured. The drug is produced in the form of granules, they are simply diluted in water and quickly dissolve, and further processing is carried out by spraying.

In relation to grapes, the remedy is effective for the treatment of the following diseases:

  • scab;
  • rubella;
  • mildew;
  • powdery mildew;
  • gray mold;
  • tinder;
  • different types of rust;
  • black spot;
  • radical cancer;
  • late blight;
  • anthracnose;
  • Stemfiliosis;
  • rot.

The tool is able to protect the sheets on both sides and even penetrate into the fabric and spread evenly throughout the structure. In this case, the plant is the minimum absorption of the drug, which is especially important. In addition, the strobilurins are rapidly destroyed, so there is no accumulation of them in the soil and soil waters, so the environment is not subject to pollution.

Benefits

Universal remedy "Strobe" refers to a new generation of protective drugs, but has already managed to prove its effectiveness when used in agriculture. The popularity of the drug due to its many beneficial qualities and advantages:

  • spraying is allowed on dry and wet leaves;
  • the protection effect is maintained for one and a half months;
  • even a partial hit on the plant provides a positive result;
  • in fruits, the substance does not accumulate due to the rapid decomposition of the interaction of salts with water;
  • active substances are resistant to various types of precipitation and cold weather, so “Strobe” can be used at temperatures up to -3-4 degrees;
  • the use of the drug is permissible during flowering culture;
  • the diluted compound does not clog the sprayer, as it is completely dissolved in water.

In addition, the tool is extremely economical: a small amount of "Strobe" is required for processing large areas (of course, it matters what culture is sprayed).

Use the tool should be immediately after its preparation, since then the drug has the most effective action. For living organisms - people and animals - the tool is of low toxicity, which, of course, is considered its main advantage, but, on the other hand, it can be a clear disadvantage. Because of this, some species of fungi are able to mutate, particular resistance is observed in gray rot in greenhouse crops, and also in powdery mildew in cucumbers and cereals.

How to apply?

The use of fungicide for grapes has its own characteristics. Experts emphasize that it can be used no more than two times per season during the growing season (best in spring and summer) and no less than 30 days before harvesting. As an exception, it is recommended to carry out processing before the flowering of the grapes. More frequent and careful prevention is undesirable, as it can affect the leaves, stem, soil in the area of the roots and the quality of the fruit. The instructions for use include the following guidelines, which must be followed:

  • to prepare a solution for grapes against diseases such as oidium and mildew, you should take 2 g of "Strobe" per 8 liters; if it is necessary to eliminate the monilial burn, scab or powdery mildew, then 2 g per 10 liters will suffice, for other diseases, a ratio of 5 g per 10 liters of warm water will be used;
  • before treatment, in spring, the affected, dry, dead and broken branches are cut from the vines, shoots are removed, which are able to create a shadow and thus contribute to the development of diseases;
  • during the spraying of leaves, branches and the trunk should not be forgotten about the soil in which the root system of the plant;
  • the vines are processed twice with a gap per week.

The prepared solution is in an active state for two hours, so that the spraying should have time to hold during this time. When using other pesticides, such compounds as “Fastak”, “Delan”, “BI-58”, “Cumulus” should be chosen, with which the fungicide is compatible.

Security measures

Despite the low toxicity to humans, the following precautions are required during the work:

  • use of protective (closed) suit, gloves, respirator and goggles to protect the visual organs;
  • the preparation should not be near fire sources;
  • only commercial containers are used for preparing the solution;
  • if the composition got into the eyes, they should be washed with clean running water;
  • in case of accidental ingestion of the drug, it is better to immediately seek qualified help.

The fungicide must be stored in a place protected from children and not used after the expiration date, which is 5 years.

Recommendations when working with a fungicide

The main task of the farmer is the full protection of fruit and vegetable crops. However, when buying “Strobe” you need to know certain subtleties of using this tool. If you use useful tips, you can understand how to properly use the drug:

  • Before the treatment with the fungicide, it is necessary to pre-spray the plants with another, not less qualitative means, not related to strobilurins;
  • all work with cultivated crops should be carried out three days after processing;
  • too frequent use can lead to the resistance of pathogens;
  • cultures are treated better in the morning or evening to create a time interval of 6-10 hours before the arrival of the bees;
  • This process is best done in calm weather when there is no wind.

On average, only three treatments with a fungicide are required per year, which must be alternated with preparations for pests and diseases. To reduce damage to various diseases, it is sometimes worthwhile to carry out preventive protection. Proper use of such high-quality fungicide as “Strobe” allows you to constantly maintain grapes and other cultivated plants in a healthy state and to receive high-quality yields annually.
