Recipes for five-minute jam from Victoria for the winter

 v

Surely each of us loves strawberries.This sweet garden berry can create a unique summer atmosphere even on the coldest winter evening. And the most delicious thing you can make from strawberries is jam. Many people think that in order to cook it, you need to stand all day at the stove, but this is not so. Very popular now is five-minute jam, which takes very little time to prepare. The result is very tasty and nutritious.

There are several cooking options, differing in consistency and taste, we consider the method of preparation of each of them.

Thick five-minute jam

In order to cook a pot of cooking, we need:

  • strawberries - two kilograms;
  • sugar - two kilograms;
  • water - one glass;
  • lemon juice - to taste.

Before you start making jam, you need to make all the preparations. Banks, in which you will pour the jam, must be sterilized. To do this, you can boil them in a basin, hold them over boiling water or ignite in an oven. The same should be done with the covers. You also need to prepare for cooking strawberries. First, pull out all the tails of the berries, then rinse them thoroughly and let them drain. The cooking process itself is quite simple; any hostess can cope with it, especially when she has a step-by-step recipe.

  1. First, pour a glass of water into the pot and boil it.
  2. When the water starts to boil, gradually add and stir the sugar until you have consumed the whole.
  3. Bring all this mass to a boil.
  4. Carefully pour the strawberries into the pan.
  5. Make the fire a little less and wait until the mass starts to boil and gurgle.
  6. In the process of boiling, foam will form, try to remove it.
  7. When the jam boils, you can add lemon juice.
  8. After boiling, you need to wait five minutes, then turn off the fire.
  9. When the jam has cooled, bring it to a boil again and turn off the fire in five minutes.
  10. When it cools down, do the same procedure again.
  11. After the third time, without waiting for cooling, we begin to roll up the jam.

This whole process, along with preparation, will take you about an hour. This is much faster than the standard cooking procedure, and the resulting jam is no worse.

Spruce jam

The process of making sponge jam is not much different from the previous version. For him, you will need all the same ingredients, but instead of two kilograms of sugar, take one and a half. Before cooking you need to prepare jars and strawberries again.

  1. Again, pour a glass of water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Gradually fall asleep and stir the sugar in boiling water.
  3. When the mass boils, throw strawberries.
  4. In the process of cooking, remove the foam, after the jam begins to boil, pour lemon juice.
  5. We give to boil for five minutes, then turn off and immediately pour and roll over the banks.

This method of cooking even faster, it will take you no more than half an hour. The resulting jam will be more liquid and not as sweet as the first option.

Five-minute strawberry jam

This option of fast cooking will have a very interesting taste and contain ingredients unusual for jam, but anyone who tries it will surely like it. For him you will need:

  • strawberry variety "Victoria" - one kilogram;
  • sugar - one kilogram;
  • citric acid - one teaspoon;
  • mint - five sheets;
  • water is half a glass.

You can make jam not only from Victoria, but this particular variety is best suited for it. The process of preparing this option will take you several hours, however, most of the time you will not need to do anything. Before you start cooking, do not forget to prepare the strawberries and cans for seaming properly.

  1. Pour half a glass of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. When the water boils, slowly add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Bring the syrup to a boil and let it boil for three minutes.
  4. Pour the strawberries into a deep bowl, fill it with the resulting syrup and leave for two hours.
  5. After this time, add mint and citric acid, put the jam on the fire.
  6. During cooking do not stir it, but only remove the foam that appears on top.
  7. When the jam boils, it is better not to remove it immediately, but boil for five minutes.
  8. After that, pour over the banks and roll up.

With the addition of mint and citric acid in the end you will get very tasty jam with an interesting flavor of fresh strawberries. In addition, it will also be very useful, because in small quantities mint is very useful for the body, especially in winter.

Fresh Berry Jam

Another interesting way to make jam is to make the berries fresh and not boiled. This method will not only radically change the taste and texture, but also make the jam even more useful, because when cooking strawberries many vitamins and useful elements disappear from it. If you do not cook strawberries, then all the benefits will remain in it. Cooking such a jam is no more difficult than regular five-minute cooking. The whole process will take you less than an hour, and even this time you will not have to stand at the stove. The ingredients are the same as for the first option: a glass of water and sugar with strawberries in a one-to-one ratio.

  1. Put the prepared strawberries in a deep bowl or bowl.
  2. Pour water into the pan and bring to a boil.
  3. As it boils, start making syrup, add to sleep and stir the sugar.
  4. After the syrup boils, hold it for another fifteen minutes on the fire, be careful, at this time the jam will foam heavily, if you leave it unattended, it can escape.
  5. Pour the contents of the pan to the strawberries and leave for twenty minutes.
  6. After that, carefully pour the syrup back into the pan, and leave the strawberries in the pelvis, to facilitate the process, you can take a colander.
  7. Boil the syrup for ten minutes.
  8. Again, pour the syrup to the berries and leave for twenty minutes.
  9. Again, filter the syrup into the pan and set to cook for five minutes.
  10. For five minutes, while the syrup is boiling, gently place the strawberries in banks.
  11. After five minutes, pour the hot syrup over the cans and roll.

When the banks are cool, they can be put in storage and in winter enjoy the jam from fresh berries. For this recipe, it is better to choose more berries, because they have more juice, they keep their shape better.

Tips

              In the end I would like to share a couple tricks about how to make strawberry jam even tastier.

              • Do not be afraid to experiment and add berries and fruits to strawberry jam in your friend. Strawberry goes very well with any fruit, and therefore you will definitely not spoil the taste of jam. Tastes such as strawberries and grapes, strawberries and red apples and strawberries with blueberries are especially popular.
              • To make your jam more “presentable”, try to keep the berries whole. To do this, you just need to gently shift them and immediately after falling asleep in the pan more jam does not interfere. It is quite difficult to do this when boiling ordinary boiling, but not five minutes. Whole berries in the jam will not only make it more beautiful in appearance, but also more enjoyable to eat, since the whole berries in jam are much nicer to eat.
              • Rolled up jam can be stored for a very long time, but after the bank is opened, it is better to use the product quickly and even keep it in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks. After this period, the jam begins to deteriorate, sometimes completely unnoticed, and not only loses a lot in taste, but also can be harmful to health, so be careful.
