Dandelion
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) refers to perennials from the Compositae family. It is considered a unique plant, which is distributed almost throughout the globe, but most of all - in a temperate climate.

- in English - dandelion;

Appearance
The dandelion is small in height, the maximum it grows to 0.4 m. However, it has an extensive and branched root system that can reach a meter. A rosette is formed from the leaves at the roots. The leaves themselves are irregularly lobed in shape with deep teeth. The stems are hollow from the inside, they end with a basket with a lot of yellow reed flowers.
Yellow flowers open only in sunny weather. Also in all parts of the plant there is white milky juice. Dandelion fruits are achenes with white tufts.
Kinds
The dandelion has larger species, of which there are about 75, and there are smaller ones - there are more than 1000 of them. Of the largest species, the most common are:

Dandelion can be found around the globe, although most of all he prefers a temperate climate. One of the typical representatives - common dandelion - is common in the zone of forest-steppe. It grows everywhere - in the meadows, along the roads, on the edges, as weeds in the garden, in the garden or in the park. Especially often it can be found in Central Russia, in the countries of the Near Abroad, in Siberian and Far Eastern territories, on the Kamchatka Peninsula, on the Sakhalin Peninsula, in Asian countries, etc. Exceptions are deserts.
