How to cook rice in the microwave: the best recipes

For cooking white rice you need to take:
- one cup of cereal (150 g);
- two cups of cold water (300 ml);
- vegetable oil (one tablespoon);
- salt.
In a bowl with rice, add one and a half cups of water and oil, mix everything. Salt can be added both before cooking and after, at your discretion.
Cooking white rice is divided into two stages. First, from the rice you need to evaporate the water and allow it to swell. Rice cooking will follow the following technology:
- the croup is soaked for 40 minutes in cold water;
- water is drained and the cereal is transferred to a special container;
- fresh water is added there (in the proportion of one and a half cups of water per cup of rice) and lightly salted;
- closed dishes put in the microwave oven;
- the cooking process takes 8 minutes at maximum power, and during cooking the grits should be mixed several times;
- after the timer is triggered, the dishes with cereal are removed from the oven, vinegar for sushi is added to the finished “porridge” and left to cool.
With vegetables
To make the dish cooked in the microwave more appetizing and juicier, different vegetables are added to it, giving it a new flavor. Prepare by taking the following ingredients per six servings:
- 300 g (2 cups) cereals;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 onion;
- 2 pinches of salt;
- 450 ml (3 cups) of water;
- cooking oil for frying.
The preparation method is as follows:
- washed (as indicated for cooking crumbly rice) soaked cereal for 10 minutes;
- finely chop the onion and dice the carrots;
- fry vegetables in a glass dish on oil in a microwave (set at maximum power) for 3 minutes;
- soaked rice dumped into a colander, washed again and let the water drain;
- mix cereals and vegetables, pour water until it covers this mixture;
- the main cooking time is 10 minutes, the power of the microwave oven is 80%.

With chicken
This hearty, tasty and nutritious dish can be prepared according to the recipe, for which you need to take (based on six servings):
- 400 g chicken white meat (breast);
- 200 grams of rice;
- 450 ml (3 cups) of broth;
- 1 sweet pepper;
- 30 g butter;
- 1 onion;
- salt and pepper (to taste).
Washed cereal soaked in the above method in cool water for 1 hour. Vegetables cut into strips, and chicken - in small pieces. Once again, wash the rice and mix it with vegetable and meat preparations, salt and pepper. Fill it all with broth and add softened butter. This mixture is prepared in an open dish for 15 minutes in a microwave oven set to a power of 850 watts. Then close the dishes and bring the dish to readiness for another 7 minutes.
