Benefit and harm
There are many opinions about the benefits and harms of rice flour, whether it is actually a good alternative to wheat flour.
On the one hand, the product is healthier than wheat flour, because it contains many useful elements, it does not contain gluten. It can be eaten by people suffering from celiac disease (gluten intolerance). But the product is quite rich in carbohydrates; for this reason, some nutritionists find it not very useful. However, the high energy value of rice flour helps reduce the need for sugars and fats, which makes it an indispensable product for those who watch their weight. You can bake diet cookies and not deny yourself sweet. Baking and other dishes are ideal for organizing proper nutrition.
Brown rice flour is considered the most useful.because it retains the outer casing, whereas during the milling of white rice, the husk is removed. Most of the essential nutrients found in it, there are vitamins and minerals such as calcium and zinc.

Pizza
For making excellent gluten-free pizza you will need:
- 2 measuring cups of rice flour;
- 2.25 spoons of dry yeast;
- big spoon of sugar;
- some oil, preferably olive;
- a small spoonful of salt;
- a cup of cold water;
- egg.
For filling:
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce;
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce;
- 4–6 strips of bacon;
- 1 cup ground beef, sautéed in butter;
- 200 g of sausage, cut into pieces;
- 1 cup grated hard cheese.
Yeast must be diluted before use in water and add salt and sugar. Sift rice flour into a bowl. Make a well in the hill, where they drive in an egg and pour in oil. Pour mixture with yeast, and mix everything well. Spread the dough on a floured work surface and knead by hand, then roll it into a ball. The ball of dough is placed in a bowl, pre-oiled. Cover with a damp cloth and leave for an hour in such a condition that the dough comes. It is advisable to choose a place where it will be warm, for example, near a stove or battery.
Rising dough evenly rolled out with a rolling pin and placed in a pan or on a tray. Top greased with olive oil to make the cake well baked in the oven. Bake, observing the temperature of 200 ° C, baking time - 20 minutes. Then spread the mixture of sauces over the crust, sprinkle with minced meat, bacon and sausage. You can add herbs, onions, mushrooms and other ingredients. Above all, pour the shabby cheese in a thick layer and put it in the oven.
Paste
It is also a great gluten free dish. Pasta is easy to make because it does not require a lot of ingredients.
The composition of the product:
- 1.5 cups brown rice flour;
- 1/2 cup potato starch;
- 2 tsp.food stabilizer xanthan;
- 1 small spoonful of salt;
- 4 eggs.
Sift brown rice flour, add potato starch, xanthan and salt. Beat eggs in a separate bowl. It is preferable to use a blender, because it copes well with the task. Then mix the flour and eggs. It must be remembered that flour without gluten is not mixed with a dough hook, because it does not contain protein and may become too stiff. It is better to do it manually.
Make small balls of dough. At this stage, you may need to add oil. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut into thin strips. The resulting pasta is boiled with water and salt until tender. As a dressing, you can use mayonnaise sauce with garlic.
It is prepared simply: it is enough to squeeze a couple of garlic cloves into mayonnaise, add ground black pepper and a little chopped dill.
Biscuit
If you like cheese, this gluten-free biscuit will not leave you indifferent. To make dessert for tea, you will need:
- 100 g grated hard cheese;
- 50 g brown rice flour;
- ¼ spoon baking powder;
- 1 tbsp. l sesame seeds.
First you need to heat the oven to 200 ° C, lightly grease the baking sheet with oil and set it aside for now. All the ingredients are poured into the bowl and make the dough, and it is better not to use electrical appliances, and do the work manually. The dough is divided into two halves, both are rolled into a ball and put in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to acquire the necessary structure.
After the indicated time, take the dough out of the fridge and immediately roll it out and cut it. You can make two sausages for this. Baking time is 10-12 minutes. Treats will appeal not only to children, but also to adults who look after their figure.
Balloons
Components for rice balls:
- sticky rice flour - 1.5 cups;
- 1 cup of water;
- Dashin root - 200 g
Components for refueling:
- coconut cream - ½ cup;
- salt - teaspoon;
- sugar - 150 g;
- coconut milk - 875 ml.
Peel the taro root, steam and mash. In a bowl, mix rice flour, water, and this ingredient to make a dough. On the working surface they roll the sausage and cut it into small circles, from which small balls are made. In a saucepan, bring some water to the boil and lower them to boil. When the balls pop up, they are taken out of the pan and placed in a bowl of ice water. After cooling, spread on a dish.
In another container, mix coconut milk, salt and sugar. Stir the sauce until it becomes thick. They put rice balls in it and stew them on a small fire. At the end add coconut cream.
Dumpling
Take the following ingredients:
- cold water - 5 tablespoons;
- rice flour - 200 g;
- Chinese brown sugar - 150 g;
- sliced ginger - ½ cup;
- tangerine peel, cut into small pieces;
- food coloring.
Mix the flour and water in a bowl to make the dough. On the work surface knead the dough, cut it in half and add the red dye in one ball. Knead the dough again so that one part gets the necessary shade.
Now take both pieces and make small balls. In a large saucepan, boil water and dip the prepared balls into it. After the balls have surfaced, they need to boil for 5 minutes until fully prepared. At this time, mix ginger, sugar and tangerine peel in 1 liter of water and boil. Once the sugar is melted, reduce the heat and extinguish the mixture to a thick syrup.
