 How many grams of sunflower oil in a tablespoon and other containers?

Sometimes such a nuisance happens: the mistress prepares something for dinner from a new recipe according to a strict recipe, hoping to surprise her loved ones, but it turns out one annoying detail.It is necessary to add the exact amount of sunflower oil to the ingredients, and there are no scales for weighing grams or a measuring glass for determining the volume. But do not despair - such a task will help solve the dining items that exist in each kitchen.

The amount in spoons

This cutlery is particularly accurate and convenient to measure the amount of liquids in weight equivalent, for example, in grams (g), as well as in volumetric measurement, that is, in milliliters (ml). And why a spoon measures the liquid more precisely is explained quite simply - the liquid state of a substance cannot be poured into a spoon with a slide, as is often the case with measuring sugar, salt and cereals. A spoonful of liquid can only be filled to the brim, and not a single gram more, since the excess just overflows.

In a standard tablespoon, which in culinary recipes is referred to as “Art. l ", Contains 17 grams of sunflower oil. The volume of this substance in 1 tbsp. l equal to 15 ml. From these data it becomes clear that the weight and volume of liquids do not always correspond to the same value. The fact is that the weight of liquids is very dependent on the density of the substance. For example, in the same tablespoon of water contains 18 g. Everyone knows that the oil is less dense than water, therefore its weight in the same volume is less.

In the kitchen of hostesses you can find tablespoons of the most unusual species. A standard spoon has a length of 7 cm, and in its widest part - 4 cm. This is the spoon that will be useful in culinary business. If there is no standard specimen, then the only way out is to measure any other spoon, pouring oil into any vessel whose volume is known. For example, in a standard glass with edges.

It happens that a teaspoon can be useful for measuring the right amount of oil, which in cooking is called “h. l ". In a normal teaspoon can hold about 5 grams of sunflower oil, or to be more precise, 4 grams and 700 milligrams (4.7 grams). And by volume its capacity is about 5 ml. This cutlery can be used as a measure of weight and volume in cases where the required amount of product is slightly more or less than other standard gauges.

For example, for some needs strictly 300 g of oil is required. You can measure this amount as follows:

  • pour oil on the rim of cut glass (238 g);
  • pour this oil into a bigger dish, for example, into a glass jar;
  • add 3 cans to the jar l oils (51 g);
  • about 290 g of oil will be produced in the can;
  • add to the jar now 2 tsp., weighing about 10 g;
  • the desired 300 g cooked.

How much oil is in a glass?

A standard faceted glass has two measures of volume and weight: at risk and full (up to the rim). Its volume at risk is 200 ml, and the full glass contains 250 ml. The full standard glass without sides and risok contains 200 ml.

If the faceted glass to the brim (to the rim) is filled with sunflower oil, this amount of oil will weigh 238 g. The amount of oil at risk weighs 190 g. Accordingly, the glass without facets also contains 190 g if it is filled to the brim.

It turns out that the oil contains:

  • in 1 faceted glass at risk - 190 g;
  • 1 faceted full glass - 238 g;
  • in 1 full glass without sides - 190 g

Other measures of weight

If you need large amounts of oil, then to help you can adapt such containers as glass jars, having different sizes: 0.5 liters, 1 liter, 2 liters and 3 liters. Each of them contains a certain weight of the same sunflower oil. Of course, these figures have long been calculated.

  • a can with a capacity of 1 l contains 930 grams of oil;
  • can of 2 l - 1850 g;
  • can of 3 l - 2780 g;
  • half-liter dishes - 470 g.

If a liter jar is poured under the narrowest part of the neck (under the sealing bezel), then we get a common measure of the weight of this oil - 1 kg. And to get the weight of the oil in 100 g, you need exactly half a glass without edges, in which you will need to add oil for another 2 tsp.

It is easy to measure the common 150 grams, pouring oil into a faceted glass at risk (190 g) and then taking from the resulting amount 2 tbsp. l and 1 tsp. (another option would be more accurate: add 2 tsp. of oil to 190 g, and then scoop 3 tbsp.).

If you need to measure 50 grams of the product in question, it is quite easy to do this - it is this weight that is obtained in three tablespoons.
