Iced coffee is very popular on hot days.Not everyone knows the history of the appearance of the original cocktail, what types of refreshing coffee exist. Many housewives are interested in recipes for making cold coffee drinks.

Origin

The word coffee is associated with the definition of hot, but in the 17th century, the Dutch made cold coffee. Soaked ground grain in cool water. It turned out a kind of tincture. The manufacturing recipe quickly became known in many countries of the world. The Japanese started calling the chilled coffee drink Dutch.

In the XIX century, during the military intervention in Algeria, French soldiers were surrounded by Algerians in the fortress Mazagran, they had nothing to do, like pouring cold water into natural coffee. Later, the drink of the same name with the name of the fortress appeared, in which sugar syrup was already added.

Quite by chance in 1957 a new type of coffee was invented, which is called a frappe. Dimitrios Vakondias, who represented his company's products at the international exhibition in Thessaloniki, during the break, wanted to brew his own instant coffee. However, the boiling water could not be obtained. The Greek had a shaker with him, which company representatives used at the fair to showcase instant cocoa for children. A savvy Greek began to intensively beat them instant coffee, ice with sugar. The result was a steady fluffy foam. Since then, this coffee cocktail is in great demand in Cyprus and Greece. It is appreciated by coffee gourmets of the whole world.

Cold drinks latte, mocha, ice coffee are made in a different way: freshly brewed and cooled coffee is mixed with cool milk.

There is an interesting legend about the appearance of the most popular milkshake glase. One day, a young man was in a hurry about his business and, going into a cafe, asked the bartender to make a cappuccino. There was no milk at that moment. Then the resourceful bartender replaced it with ice cream. The young man madly liked the drink. Since then, he began to constantly order it.

The bartender began to include in the menu a drink of a new recipe. This story happened in one Austrian town. However, traditionally glase is considered a cold French cocktail. The technology of its preparation is simple. In a cezve or coffee machine, natural coffee is brewed, cooled. Add another ice cream (50 g), decorate with a leaf of mint, chocolate crumbs.

For homemade cold cappuccino, you will need to add one tablespoon of chocolate syrup and a spoonful of instant coffee to a glass of milk. Next, you need to beat up until a persistent foam is formed, pour in sugar, pour it into glasses, sprinkle with cinnamon on top.

One of the most original recipes involves the preparation of a coffee drink from peaches. First you need to crumble a pound of fresh juicy peaches. Put them in boiled cooled mixed cow and coconut milk, which is taken in the same proportions: half a liter each. In the resulting mass, you need to add a vanilla stick. The mixture should be whipped, poured into glasses and add ice.

There are two ways to make cold coffee:

  • brews hot coffee and cools;
  • cool water is initially taken, in which ground grains are drawn, followed by filtration.

Sugar slowly dissolves in the cooled liquid, therefore, it is better to use sugar substitutes, sugar solutions, syrups for making a cooled cocktail.

You can make coffee ice: brewed and cooled strong coffee is poured into special forms for freezing ice cubes, left in the freezer. As soon as it freezes, get it out of the fridge.

Frozen coffee cubes can be poured with cool milk (250 ml). To make cubes, you need 5 teaspoons of instant coffee and pour the same amount of sugar with hot water (250 ml). It is possible to add a little vanilla to get a special flavor and taste. Then leave until solidified in the freezer.

To make a coffee smoothie, you need to make a banana puree, add yoghurt (250 ml), beat a lot. Pour the pre-cooked and cooled coffee (250 ml), whisk again.

An amazing flavor can be obtained by adding a bit of cocoa powder and cinnamon to the mixture.

There is an original way to get infused coffee. To do this, take a plastic bottle, cut off the bottom of it, screw the lid very tightly, turn the bottle upside down. Pour cold water into it. Natural coffee (170 g) poured into two coffee filters, tied with threads, put them in a bottle of water. A bottle to find support, which can serve as an ordinary bank. The hostess should know that to drink a cold coffee cocktail preferably between breakfast and lunch.
