Cedar oil: features and application

 Cedar oil: features and application

The raw materials for the manufacture of cedar oil are the fruits of Siberian or Altai evergreen cedar pine. This culture grows in Russia. Cedar oil is very useful and widely used in medicine and cosmetology.

What it is?

Cedar oil is a natural, environmentally friendly and extremely useful product that does not have a single synthetic analogue and surpasses all other oils known to us in its nutritional value. Even in ancient times, healers used it to treat diseases of the stomach, burns, and various skin lesions. It was at that time that the oil began to be called "the cure for a hundred diseases."

In Russia, cedar has always been valued; in the times of Ivan the Terrible, this tree was sold in huge amounts to Europe and Persia — there they were quite successfully treated for consumption.

Cedar fruit oil accumulates a large amount of a wide variety of vitamins - A, E, D, B, and others; the concentration of beneficial fatty acids is high (omega, essential oleic and stearic acids, as well as linoleic and palmitic essential for maintaining health).

The product contains almost all useful trace elements: molybdenum, nickel, iodine, potassium, calcium, silver, zinc, magnesium, manganese and phosphorus, as well as proteins such as prolamin, gluten, in addition, albumin and globulin. Such a high content of useful substances causes the exceptional usefulness of the product and its cosmetic effect. In addition, the product is perfectly absorbed by the human body in full, therefore, it has practically no significant contraindications and is recommended for use even for babies.

A high concentration of vitamins has the most beneficial effect on the functioning of the heart and blood vessels, and also has a positive effect on the nervous system and blood formation processes. The product is useful for the prevention of strokes and blood diseases, prevents heart attacks and helps reduce blood cholesterol.

Cedar oil normalizes the functioning of all major vital systems of the body, strengthens the immune system, accelerates lymphatic drainage and has a decongestant effect.

Cedar oil has a feature to accelerate the healing of even the most serious wounds, frostbite and edema, as well as normalize the work of the digestive organs. The product reduces pain, relieves spasm, removes toxins and toxins from the body, as well as improves visual acuity.

Among the beneficial properties of the oil can also be noted bactericidal, antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Cedar oil is rich in antioxidants that rejuvenate the body, suspend the aging process and reduce the severity of age-related changes. The active ingredients of the product level the harmful effects of nicotine and alcohol, suppress pathogenic microorganisms and relieve the bad smell from the body.

Manufacture and types

Cedar oil, depending on its composition and manufacturing technology is divided into two types.

  • Secondary biological oil - is a product in which all chemical and biological properties of the nut itself are fully preserved. Such a product can nourish a person with the necessary minerals, vitamins and microelements in full. This oil can be bought from any manufacturer of cedar products, but be careful - quite often unscrupulous sellers, under the guise of a pure product, sell a low-grade analogue, so try to make inquiries about the manufacturer and the trading company to make sure that you really buy product, the quality of which corresponds to the declared.
  • Live cedar oil - It is a composition that is made on wooden presses, it includes all the main components of biological oil, but its distinctive feature is the pressing technology, during which it does not come into contact with the metal, does not stand, does not undergo prolonged heat treatment and various kinds of deodorization.

As a result of such a production process, the probability of oxidation is completely excluded, in which side chemical reactions are formed and the natural purity of the product is disturbed.

The process of obtaining cedar oil is quite long and very laborious, it includes several important stages.

The first involves the collection of pine cones, their transportation to the place of further processing, drying and peeling.

At the second stage, kernels are isolated from cedar fruits. At this stage, the nuts are to be calibrated; all rubbish, impurities and empty nuts are selected from the total mass. After such cleaning, the product is dried in natural conditions or in specially equipped technological dryers for 7-20 days, the final period depends on the state of the raw materials and temperature conditions. The degree of readiness of the nut is determined by splitting and subsequent crushing of the kernel. If an oil stain is formed on the hands, you can proceed to the release of oil, for this the product is split and the kernels are separated.

Well, after this begins the immediate collection of oil. There are 2 basic methods of collecting cedar product - it is cold pressed and high-temperature extraction.

In the first case, the cores are placed under the production press, then slowly increase its pressure, thus squeezing all the oil.

The second method involves the preliminary grinding of nuclei to a homogeneous mass, its subsequent heating and washing under hot water. Upon contact with the liquid, the oil floats to the surface, it is collected, then excess water is evaporated and then carefully filtered. The cake formed in this way is squeezed out under pressure, and the separated oil residues are taken away, the rest of the raw material is used in agriculture.

The second method is considered less difficult and costly and much more productive, however, the nutritional value of the oil thus obtained is lower, since under the influence of temperature most of the useful substances and organic compounds are destroyed. Higher quality and healing oil is obtained only with cold pressing - in this case, all the valuable components of the pine nut are stored in the oil in full.

There is another oil extraction method that manufacturers prefer to keep quiet about. It is not surprising, because it is a method of chemical extraction, in which the crushed grain of the fruit is poured with special reagents that completely draw the oil out of them. Then, by technical separation or acid-base reaction, the oil is carefully separated from the reagent. Obviously, the product thus collected has absolutely nothing to do with the natural pine nut oil, except for the name. In the best case, such a product will not give any benefit to your body, and at worst, it will cause great harm.

Nevertheless, such a product is quite widespread, and in order to make the right choice, one should prefer oil with a viscous structure and an amber shade, delicate ethereal aroma and a rather pleasant taste.

There are folk ways that allow you to separate a quality product from a fake. To do this, pour a small amount of oil into the cleaned glassware, and then rinse it under cool running water. The natural composition will be washed off, but if there is a fat spot on the surface, there is a counterfeit in front of you.

In addition, the oil can be put in the freezer for several hours - a quality product produced by cold pressing will not change its color, but if the shade changes, and the mass itself becomes thicker, then the squeeze from cedar kernels is generously diluted other vegetable oils.

A very alarming sign is the presence of a pronounced flavor. Most likely, either flavors are used here or the product is heated during processing. Living oil has a pleasant, but subtle smell.

It should be understood that It is impossible to determine high-quality oil only by such signs, so purchase the product only from a reliable seller. Unfortunately, nowadays neither the certificate nor the instruction attached to the oil guarantee absolute protection against counterfeit, and they forge such cedar oil quite often.

How to make at home?

Obviously, cold-pressed oil is considered to be the most useful and nutritious, but it has not been without its pitfalls. It is known that the oil does not tolerate any contact with any metals at all, however, modern technological equipment is almost 100% metal. And although almost all manufacturers of the product declare that completely different materials are used in the manufacture of butter, often this is completely untrue.

The oil obtained in metal tanks, even at the production stage, changes structurally and energy-informationally - our far ancestors knew this well, therefore, only wooden presses or stone tools were used to prepare oil for domestic use. In this case, the harvesting was carried out near the gathering place, so that all the negative, coming from other people, was as far as possible.

Yes, and in our days folk healers also come in - that is why the product obtained by this “old-fashioned” manual method and pressed in industrial plants is different, and quite strongly. Of course, the biochemical composition of them is the same, but the healing power of the industrial is much lower, as evidenced by numerous studies. In addition, "in-line" production of oil inevitably leads to a deterioration in its qualitative composition, however, this applies to any vegetable oil in principle.

The second pitfall makes itself felt even at the stage of harvesting cones. The most useful are obtained only from fully ripened cones, which the tree gave itself, that is, from the fallen ones. The ancient home-made craftsmen believed that if a tree was taken away from a tree by force, the quality and therapeutic component of the oil would be much lower. Naturally, industrial production does not wait for the cones to fall - the trees are picked in full at once, after which the raw material is pounded with sticks. Among the raw materials often come across immature cones, the oil is completely useless.

Hand-made oil is more useful and valuable, and most importantly, you can be completely sure of its quality and the absence of impurities. However, it is not easy to cook it. First you need to remove the nuts from the cones and dry them thoroughly, you can use an ordinary electric dryer for vegetables and berries, in the extreme case, the oven will do.

The cooled kernels must be cleaned of debris, then remove the dry shells, for this nuts should be put in a canvas bag and shake well. However, many housewives neglect this part, believing that they still have to clean the nuts anyway.

After pre-cleaning is to get rid of the peel. For this, the nuts are dipped for 10-15 minutes in hot water, then they are thrown back, they are drained, spread on a dry, flat surface and pass through them with a rolling pin.

All kernels need to be selected in the manual way and to fall asleep in a household press. Such devices are used in the household to produce fruit juice. The device is installed at the lowest power and turn on.

Keep in mind that from a glass of nuts you get a whole spoonful of raw materials, so you have to repeat the procedure two or even three times. The resulting oil must be drained and filtered through a fine sieve, then sterilized in a water bath for 5-7 minutes.

The effect of the use and feedback from doctors

Nowadays, more and more people suffer from problems caused by a wide variety of diseases. The reason for this is often seen in a complex environmental situation, as well as in food, which is poor in vitamins and valuable trace elements. Even those who prefer to eat vegetables and fruits, can not be sure that they receive a full and balanced food to the fullest. That is why more and more people are turning to cedar oil, which has earned the most favorable consumer reviews.

Those who have included cedar oil in their diet and regularly take it, note a significant improvement in their state of health - the body becomes more enduring, less susceptible to serious illnesses. In addition, after ingestion of oil, digestion is normalized, such unpleasant symptoms as pain and heaviness in the stomach and intestines disappear, insomnia disappears, stress resistance increases.

Patients suffering from diseases of the endocrine and cardiovascular systems, note that therapy, which includes cedar oil, has a greater effect than the use of drugs alone.

It is noteworthy that the composition of the oil does not cause any doubts - it is an environmentally friendly product that does not contain any chemical impurities.

Women note an exceptionally high cosmetological effect - the oil is used both in its pure form and in the composition of masks and tonics.

Doctors confirm the effectiveness of the oil in the treatment of many diseases. However, official medicine recommends using the product as part of therapy, rather than its only component - the remedy well complements traditional medicines, increases the body's defenses so that treatment is more effective, and recovery is speedy.

It is noteworthy that natural oil can be bought in a pharmacy, where it is often sold in capsules - it is very convenient for use.

However, all this applies only to the most expensive unrefined hand-pressed oils, or at least those obtained by cold pressing; all other methods of producing oil make the product completely useless.
