        Paste

        The taste of gooseberry fruit candy is moderately sweet, with a sour taste. You can make the product at home, it is easy to prepare such dishes. Pastila is made from such products:

        • bee honey;
        • granulated sugar;
        • egg white.

        Kohler dishes can be very different:

        • burgundy;
        • with a reddish tinge;
        • dark green.

        The first is prepared mashed gooseberry. It is important to select ripe berries. Gooseberry has a thick peel, immature berries are not suitable for creating such a product. Gooseberry rinsed, left in a colander for some time, the water should drain. Cut berries, add some water to the bowl, stirring the berries, make a fruit “porridge”. It is very important that there are no lumps. Then put the container with mashed potatoes in the oven, stew the product for thirty minutes over low heat. After cooking, put it on a sieve, fray to a uniform consistency.

        There is also another way that is commonly called natural.. If the weather allows, you can dry the product in the fresh air. To do this, the prepared substance is distributed on trays, which are covered with wax paper or foil. Content is placed in front of the house on wooden flooring, for several days the product is blown by the wind, baked by sunlight and so “fit” to the desired condition.

        It is also important to ensure that the pastila does not dry out, otherwise it will lose its taste.

        Dry the pastilles in an electric drier and oven, for this, the composition is evenly distributed over a deep pan (3 cm), then turn on a slow fire. Temperatures of 85 degrees is enough to cook everything as it should be. It is recommended to remember about the important point: it is necessary to slightly open the stove door so that air exchange is present. Cooking time requires at least four hours.

        Similarly, the pastille can be dried in an electric dryer. Test readiness of the product should show that the marshmallow is non-sticky. It is also important not to over dry the pastil, so that it does not crunch, it is not brittle. Required Products:

        • gooseberry - 2 kg;
        • granulated sugar - 1.5 kg;
        • 3-4 glasses of water.

        Sugar is needed to prepare the syrup of the desired thickness, on low heat the mass reaches the desired consistency, reducing its volume by half.

        Pastille can also be made without sugar, for this is taken on one kilogram of berries 1/3 kg of honey. Then the whole cooking algorithm remains the same. Honey is added after the cooked mass has thickened, and its temperature does not exceed 55 degrees Celsius.

        For another recipe for gooseberry marshmallow with honey you will need:

        • gooseberry - 1 kilogram;
        • honey - 300 grams.

        Puree "languishes" on the smallest fire until, until it reaches a thick consistency. Then the contents are left for an hour until the dish is warm (45 degrees is enough). Add honey, mix everything thoroughly. Drying takes place outdoors, without using any equipment.

        Similarly, you can make a paste of gooseberry with the addition of egg white. Substance is boiled over low heat until it thickens. Gradually add sugar (1/3 kg per kilogram of berries), while continuing to stir the contents. Separately, they make a “eggnog” of egg white, whipping it to white foam, which has good density. If the substance becomes homogeneous, protein is added, the entire contents are mixed using a mixer. Store the product in sterilized jars in the refrigerator. They also put the product in a sealed bag.

        Cooking smoothies

        Gooseberry in syrup

        Gooseberry in syrup is a very nutritious and healthy dish, it is impossible not to love it. To make it in the conditions of a private household is not a big deal. These products are required:

        • gooseberry - 2 kg;
        • sugar - 1.5 kg;
        • water - 1 liter.

        The berries are washed in running water, dried, then the tails should be cut on each berry. Use for this small nail scissors.Then, using a wooden toothpick, the berries are pierced in several places. Such a manipulation allows the contents of the fruit not to overheat and not "explode" the shell of the berries.

          Then all the contents are put into a large container and brought to the boiling point. At the same time it is necessary to stir the mass periodically. Then the syrup begins to boil, it is removed from the heat and allowed to cool for six hours. It is very good at this stage to add raspberry, bilberry or blackcurrant leaves to the container. After cooling, it is recommended to drain the contents and heat to a temperature of 100 degrees.

          Such manipulations should be done three times. The last time the syrup is boiled for no more than 15 minutes. It is important to understand that the extra heat treatment "kills" the beneficial trace elements in the berry, so the golden mean is best here, otherwise the product will be tasteless.

          It is convenient to preserve syrups for the winter; they are ideal for preparing dessert dishes and various cakes. Berries are not recommended for those who suffer from diseases of the stomach, pancreas, duodenum. You can add different spices, often it is present in pastries and cakes.

            Fruits should be slightly unripe and harsh. They are thoroughly washed in a colander. Tails are cut with small scissors. Lemon is scalded with boiling water, cut into slices. Then all the contents knead well, it is mashed. Sugar is gradually added, the entire contents are mixed. Banks are sterilized over steam.
