She came to Europe much later, after Europeans discovered America. From about 1970, strawberries began their victorious journey from France to other countries. According to historical data, strawberry appeared in Russia thanks to the gardener Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, who treated the unusual berries of the little Tsarevich Peter Alekseevich.

In recent times, large-fruited strawberry varieties have been popular with gardeners. In other words, they are called giants and long-livers. But, thanks to the impressive size, this did not prevent her from occupying her page of honor in the book of records.

After 32 years, the strawberry berry record was again recorded. The largest strawberry in the world was raised by farmer Koji Nakao from the Japanese city of Fukuoka. When weighing, the record berry was 250 grams, its spatial dimensions were 8 and 12 cm in various directions, and the maximum diameter of the miracle berry was 30 cm. After repeated measurements, this copy was entered into the Guinness book of records. According to the farmer’s daughter, who was fortunate enough to try the giant berry, she was very sweet and tasty.

According to scientists, such mutational processes can occur for various reasons.
