Recipe

In order to prepare a fruit platter, you will need strawberries, gooseberries, kiwi, peaches, pears, as well as lemon and sugar (you can add or replace ingredients if you wish).

The optimal amount of ingredients - 500 grams of each type of fruit, 1 kilogram of sugar and 1 large lemon.

    Step-by-step process is as follows.

    • The first stage of preparation is preparatory. It should carefully examine and sort out all the fruits and berries, we need only whole, fresh and elastic fruit. Then they must be thoroughly washed and dried.
    • We cut all the ingredients into small pieces, in the end should get cubes of approximately the same size.
    • Now put the berries (gooseberries and strawberries) in a container in which we will cook our dessert. We also add 500 grams of sugar and shake the pan in order to mix the berries with sand.
    • After that, one by one, add the rest of the fruit and pour them with the remaining sugar. It is important to mix everything carefully so that our platter is not layered.
    • After the sugar and fruit are placed in a container and mixed, you need to add lemon juice. Useful advice: in order for a lemon to select as much juice as possible, it needs to be pressed and “rolled” on the table.
    • When the juice is added, everything should be thoroughly mixed again (it should be stirred by shaking, do not use a spoon or other accessories so as not to disturb the integrity of the fruit).
    • Then the whole fruit mass must be covered with cling film and sent to the refrigerator for 24 hours.
    • After the specified time you need to start cooking dessert. To do this (after removing the film), the container with the assorted need to be put on medium heat. We wait until the fruit boils, and then boil them for about half an hour.

    The next step is stocking.

Important! If you do not plan to harvest the fruit for the winter, and want to eat them immediately after preparation, you can do without sterilizing the container. Otherwise - the banks must be sterilized.

So, in the heat-treated container lay out skimmer cooked fruit platter. Top with the remaining sugar syrup brought to a boil and cover with the lids. After rolling the jars should be turned upside down and wait for them to cool completely. After that, harvested fruit must be transferred to a cool dark place (for example, in a cellar). You can be sure that in such conditions the dessert will be perfectly preserved and will delight all households in the winter.
